The fourth Standard of Practice focuses on the leadership roles and responsibilities that teachers must fulfill to facilitate student success. Though pedagogies in the 21st Century favor a student-centered approach to instruction, teachers must never forget their role as mentors and leaders in the classroom. As we guide students during their learning in our classes, it is important that we make the most of our interactions and ensure that the comments we share are meaningful and intentional in promoting further learning.
